Al Amin, Ph.D. is the Founder and Director of the TRUST Systems Lab, an independent research initiative at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and distributed intelligent systems. His long-term goal is to build the TRUST Systems Lab — the Trustworthy, Resilient, Unified, Secure & Transparent Intelligent Systems Laboratory — around three interconnected research thrusts: secure and privacy-preserving distributed intelligence; AI security, cyber defense, and forensics; and trustworthy autonomous and agentic AI.

The lab's work spans three interconnected thrusts addressing the security, resilience, and trustworthiness of modern intelligent systems.
Building machine learning and data-sharing systems that remain accurate and useful even when data, participants, or infrastructure cannot be fully trusted.
